Virtually every Portuguese king and queen spent time at the National Palace of Sintra. Now, a new exhibition is giving a voice to the palace’s “forgotten” historical figures.
We are delighted that our USO handsets are helping to make the previously unheard voices of the palace audible, thus preserving a part of the country’s cultural heritage.
The handsets allow visitors to immerse themselves in the stories of those who lived in the shadow of great rulers: cooks, craftsmen, and other servants whose stories have rarely been told. Their voices and perspectives breathe new life into the history of the palace in a personal and impressive way.
